Welcome to my side hustle. Today we’re going to go inside the PGA Tour Superstore to see if we can buy any used golf clubs that I can then flip online for a profit. The first club that I found today was this Titalist 915wood. These regularly sell online for anywhere to $90 to $110. This one was $44.99, but it did have a dent in the head. So, I’m definitely going to have to leave this one behind. The next club that I came across was this Ping G20 utility wedge for $44.99. I’m always looking for wedges because I do believe that they are the most common club that get left behind on golf courses. I should be able to flip that for about $90. I wish I had gotten better footage of this broomstick putter for only $54.99. I sold it on eBay in less than 24 hours for $127 plus shipping. I ended up going back to the same store just a couple of days later to see what new inventory they got. Now, allegedly, the PGA Tour Superstores in my area have decided to stop accepting head covers with used golf club trade-ins, which I disagree with wholeheartedly. Let me know down in the comments if it is the same policy in your area. I’m very very disappointed in it because number one, I think keeping the covers with the clubs would protect the clubs and have them have a longer playing life and number two, it does obviously add values to the club on the secondhand market. But please let me know what you think and if you’re seeing this in your local PGA stores as well. I understand it’s a headache to keep up with the head covers, but I think they should stay with the clubs. I almost picked up this tailor made Spider for just over $100. It’s the Spider Black Tour series. They sell anywhere from 150 to 175. So, there wasn’t enough margin there for me to make a lot of profit in the club. So, I did end up leaving it behind. I took a gamble on all three of these Callaway X series forged wedges. They are rusty. They were $19.99 each. And I decided to go ahead and pick up all three of them just because there is a market out there of golfers who are really looking for rusty wedges because they do think that they add more spin to the golf ball. I hope to sell them all individually for anywhere to $40 to $60. I also picked up this Voki wedge with the word snake stamped on it for only $20. the face wasn’t in terrible condition and I know that I would be able to sell this for a profit on a live auction if not on eBay while I’m waiting to build up my inventory for my next auction. I almost picked up this Tailor Morade RBZ Stage 2. The price was right on it for just over $50, but when I took a look at the head, it looked like somebody had used this as an Etch a sketch. I don’t know what happened to the top of this head, but it’s not something that I wanted to invest in because I did not think that the club would hold its value on the secondhand market at all being this distressed. I’m really lucky living in the heart of DFW that I have multiple PGA stores that get quite a lot of fresh inventory in in a 24-hour period. This 2005 Big Bertha 3 hybrid for only $29.99 should be able to sell online anywhere from $69 to $79. My new business strategy moving forward is basically to buy clubs, list them on eBay as soon as I get them, and then build up an inventory so that I have enough to support another full live 1-hour auction. The only downside is that when I list some clubs on eBay, they sell almost immediately. So, I do get some fresh money coming in, but it is delaying the timetable for my next auction. I’m going to hit up this other PGA Supertore that is the big daddy in my area. There are a ton of used clubs in this store. Every time I go in here, I’m grabbing a cart cuz, you know, I’m going to come away with more clubs that I can handle in one hand while I’m also recording. This Ping Raptor 2 Hybrid was in decent shape, but the real star of this club was the Adila VS prototype stiff flex shaft, which is easily worth double the $24.99 investment in the club. I was also really pleasantly surprised to find two of these Mazuno JPX Fly High hybrids. There was 126 degree and 129 degree, both in absolute mint condition for only $29.99 each. I scooped both of them up. I don’t think either of them have been hit. They both have recoil F3, which is about a regular flex shaft in them, and they were immaculate. I think that I should be able to double up on them and sell them anywhere between $60 and $70 each. Now, y’all know that Ping is my brand of choice. When I saw this ladies 9wood, I went ahead and scooped it up. Ladies clubs are really a gamble. You don’t know if they’re going to sell fast or sit in your inventory for forever, but I’ve already sold this one for $79.99 plus shipping. I’m always really surprised to see in all the live auctions on stackolf.com that most everybody is asking for wedges. I’m always on the lookout for wedges less than $30 to $40. I found this rawfaced SM5 just for $19.99. The face had a little bit of English on it, but overall it was in great shape. It does need a new grip and I will be able to sell that in an auction I think for just about double that at a minimum. I love being the only person in the PGA store that utilizes a shopping cart. I think it’s my call to fame. Here in the putter section, I also came across another ladies club that I have never seen before. This was the Odyssey Divine Mini T putter. For $25, I really couldn’t say no. I think this should be able to sell from 50 on up, maybe even 60 to 75. From what I can see on past eBay sales, it is pretty rare. Back to the first PGA store for the third time this week. Taking a look at inventory again. That spider putter that I almost bought the first time was still hanging out here, but I did find this additional spider putter that I already sold for $99.99. Somebody please let me know why these ghost putters are so popular and sell so quickly. This was $44.99 and I doubled it up in less than 24 hours. Going back to the Big Daddy store. Sorry to give y’all whiplash, but this is the last stop for the week. It has been an incredible week and I find some really great stuff here for the last stop of this sourcing week. Next video I’m taking y’all on the road to Florida to see if we can find any used clubs there while we go on a little road trip. I did find this Ping Olade putter for $24.99. I don’t think I’m going to double up on this unless there is a collector that’s out there on eBay or if somebody in a live auction format really wants to fight for it. It was too cool to pass up and in too good condition. I also fell in love with this PXG putter and really had it in my hands up until I got to the register and then chickened out on it. I just do not have any confidence in PXG’s ability to hold value on the used market. This Titalist D2 driver was also in decent shape, but had an extra stiff Fabuki shaft on there. So, I did go ahead and pick that one up as well. Always looking at good drivers that have the big boy shafts in there. And finally, the first iron set that I’ve seen in quite some time with enough margin to make a profit on. This was a set of Titalist AP1 712s, 5iron all the way through pigeon wedge for just over $150. I’ll easily be able to sell this for $240 to $250 because AP1 sell fast. Y’all, it’s been an incredible week of sourcing golf clubs. I have been on an absolute heater hitting up just two PGA stores over and over again over the past week. I bought a ton of clubs and I think it’s just because there’s a ton of people out there playing golf right now trading in clubs, buying new stuff, and I’m trying to take full advantage of it. My current business strategy right now is to buy clubs, list them on eBay, so they have an opportunity to sell right away. when I list them on eBay, they also go directly into my Flipwise app, which is the program that I’m utilizing for all of my taxes and documentation. And then if I don’t sell them on eBay, I’m getting ready in about two weeks to have another live auction on stackedgolf.com. In between now and then, I also have a massive haul of kids clubs that I have not even dived into to start listing them on eBay yet. I plan to sell all of the kids clubs primarily on eBay. I pulled out about six adult single irons from this purchase that I’ve sold on eBay already, and it has covered my initial $100 investment, but I have a ton of work in front of me to get these clubs cleaned up and listed so I have an opportunity to sell. And it’s mostly just me getting off of my rear end and getting down to business, cleaning those clubs and listing them. I’m also going to go to Florida here in the next couple of weeks on a road trip with the family and I hope to get some sourcing in there while I am in God’s Golf Country. So, we’ll see what I come back with and if I can get some video there of sourcing in Florida. Until I get back from there, I hope you have a great couple of weeks. I hope you get to play some golf.
