Chris and Olivia, we are glad to join with you in the celebration of your marriage, to witness your vows, to pray with you, and to wish you joy in your life together. Almighty God, touch us with an awareness of your presence in all the world around us. awaken in us a sense of wonder that you have created us in love. When I started thinking about my vows, I kept imagining today and this moment. I’ve said throughout this whole planning process that I’ve dreamed about our wedding since I was little. I always pictured the small details, the flowers, what I’d wear, what color the bridesmaid’s dresses would be. But even my wildest dreams could not have imagined someone as incredible as you. It’s funny how sometimes the littlest things in life can have the biggest impacts. 2,96 days ago to the day, I was working at UMass Law and was asked to sit on an interview panel for a potential new hire. Olivia, I think it’s an understatement to say that I’m really glad we decided to hire you. Cheers. Cheers. Since that day in 2014, you have become my everything. You are my best friend, my confidant, and the love of my life. You have held my hand and sat with me through the darkest moments of my life. Olivia, these past seven years have shown me anything, so I can’t imagine going through life with anyone but you. You’re my biggest cheerleader, my strongest supporter, and my best friend. You give all of yourself to me with no questions asked. And simply put, you make me a better me. Heat. Heat. You are the best dog dad to our Ellie girl and you will be the best father to our children. I am so blessed to become your wife today. Isn’t it obvious? Grandma and grandpa painted a picture of 65 years in one little house. More than a memory, more than saying I do. Kiss you good night. And I love you. I promise to celebrate with you in the good times and be there to pick you up in the bad. I know that relationships are hard work and I promise to never stop working on us. I promise to love you and to take care of you every single day. I promise to respect you, to support you, to encourage you, and to always remind you all that you are capable of. I promise every day to try to make you laugh because your smile lights up a room. I promise to love you for who you are and to not try and change you. I promise to respect you, to care for you, and to protect you. You are my everything and my forever. I love you more today than I did yesterday, and I’ll love you tomorrow more than I do today. When we first started dating, I remember you telling me that you weren’t interested in a for now guy, but rather a for later guy. Someone who was serious about falling in love and being in it for the long haul. I remember you saying that you felt like we could be that. So, here in front of all these people, I can confidently tell you your three favorite words to hear. You were right. I am so excited to continue this crazy life with you by my side. I love you so, so much. I now pronounce you wife and husband. Can we kiss the bride? You make his thrive. Heat. Heat. Marriage is not easy. It requires hard work, sacrifice, dedication. There will be tough days. days when you don’t like each other. Just ask your mother. Every single laugh, every single cry, and every single moment can bring you to a level of happiness that you never thought possible. And you say to yourself, “I don’t ever want to experience a day without you in my life. Heat up here. Is it obvious? This is obvious.
