DORAL — A number of big names in politics and professional sports teed it up alongside LIV golf pros like Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson at Thursday’s LIV Golf Pro-Am at Trump National Doral Miami.

While the golf time allowed for some friendly practice on the course prior to the three-day LIV Golf Miami event, the professional golfers did so alongside some big names working on their amateur game.

Here is who was in attendance during Thursday’s Pro-Am.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, his wife Casey DeSantis, and their son Mason DeSantis, were in attendance for Thursday’s Pro-Am event, with the governor golfing nine holes each alongside LIV pros Jason Kokrak and Graeme McDowell.

He shared a father-son moment on Thursday, with each of them hitting back-to-back practice putts on the green.

But he wasn’t the only prominent figure with political ties there at the event, nor even in his group.

Also golfing on his team was Eric Trump, son of U.S. President Donald Trump, who is expected to make an appearance at LIV Golf in Doral sometime on Thursday according to a notice of temporary flight restrictions posted by the Federal Aviation Administration on Monday.

Trump National Doral is just six miles from the airport, and he is expected to proceed directly there.

Former National Football League quarterback Doug Flutie, who played for the Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and San Diego Chargers was in attendance on Thursday, golfing alongside Charl Schwartzel and Branden Grace.

Teeing off from the first hole, Flutie hit a nice drive, eliciting an excited response from his partners and prompting the former gunslinger to pull out a little dance as he walked away from collecting his tee.

Joe Haden was also in attendance, golfing alongside LIV pros Louis Oosthuizen and Dean Burmester, the latter of whom who was sixth in total earnings last year from the LIV tour, in part due to his first-place finish at LIV Golf Miami in April of 2024.

Haden, a former Florida Gators cornerback, starred in the NFL for a dozen seasons before retiring in 2022. He cemented his legacy as one of the Cleveland Browns’ best defenders in history and was a three-time pro-bowler between his time in Cleveland and Pittsburgh with the Steelers.

Shane Victorino was also in attendance on Thursday, golfing beside LIV golfer Ben Campbell.

Victorino, nicknamed “The Flyin’ Hawaiian” won a World Series in 2008 during an eight-year tenure with the Philadelphia Phillies and won another with the Red Sox in 2013.

He was also a four-time Gold Glove winner and is a recipient of the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award and the Branch Rickey Award.

New LIV CEO Scott O’Neil plays nine holes with Kevin Na

New LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil, who took over for Greg Norman in January of this year, was golfing with Kevin Na and Yubin Jang on Thursday.

O’Neil’s appearance came shortly after he addressed media ahead of LIV Golf Miami on the subject of a deal with the PGA Tour.

Also golfing in his group were Chairman Ryu, Hans Baumgartner, and Olly McIntosh.
