Major league baseball and the Chicago White Sox are deeply saddened to learn the passing of 2005 world series champion Bobby Jenks. We now join Colorado Rockies in public address announcer, Reid Saunders for a moment of silence. Today, we pause to honor and remember Bobby Jenks who passed away yesterday at the age of 44 following a courageous battle with cancer. At this time, we ask that you please join us in a moment of silence as we stand in solidarity with the White Sox organization and the entire baseball community and remembering the life and legacy of Bobby Jenks. Thank you on the mound for the Rockies Herman Marcus. And he’s really been in a good place the last six weeks. Well, and you look at his last outing to 103 pitches in the start, which was pretty cool because that’s the most pitches he’s thrown in a game since July of 2022. So Mike to will step up, this ball is hit to right cruising over and he makes the catch one out, Sosa swing and a bloop out into right center field and it is a base hit Fernandez laid out , he had no chance to get it. Sousa on his way to second and he’ll slide in with a double laid out. I don’t think that was the play. I think he would like that one back. You can’t get there, take it off your chest and hold him to a single. Instead it’s going to go as a double Sousa is on at second with Kyle Thiel. Now at the plate, this ball is hit to left field, carry to it from the wall by that two out. So it so on its second base two down clean up hitter Brooks Baldwin steps in Baldwin puts a charge into this one to right field and it’s going to go off the wall, Sosa he scores easily. Baldwin continues to pound the baseball an RB I double as the Sox take a one nothing lead said two out lightning from the white Sox here jumping on Marquez in the first rookie Coulson Montgomery Montgomery in the air to right center field. This one continues to go back and it’s going to go off the wall. Montgomery racing around second. He’s looking for three an RB I triple for Coulson Montgomery first run batted in here in the big leagues within feet of hitting his first major league home run last night. He made a terrific catch over the shoulder, collects his first major league hit in a triple to boot two runs in here in the first against Hermon. This balls to left and fairly well hit going back two doubles and a triple. The white sox up 2 to 0 early on the mound for the white sox Jonathan Cannon. His last two uncharacteristicly finding his mechanics in his control. Tyler Freeman makes his way to home plate and base hit by. Keep doing it really remarkable. He just sprays line drives all over the yard hunter Goodman ball fair past Rojas, the third baseman rolling down the left field line. Freeman will get the third Goodman into second with his 18th double of the year. Rockies looking to answer right back. Bring up Jordan back. Hope he has close to 800 for Jordan and that’s a broken back home and he’ll score without a throw just like that 3031 and also a great read at second base by still nobody out runner at first Tyro Estrada pops it up out in the shadow, left center Montgomery is out there and he makes the catch to bring up Mickey Moniak off the end of that. Gomery goes to the bag himself for one over to first and a double play turned to end this first inning. But the Rockies pick up two and tie this ball game slater will tag and end up at third base at the top of the order. Mike Tauchman, the DH tonight 12 here to talk, sticks out the bat loops into center field and that will get it done. He raises his fist and RB I and the Sox retake the lead here in the second inning, Sosa doubled and scored his first time up in the air, right center field. Anything in the air is carrying tonight and this one gets out of here, Sosa, a two run shot his seventh of the season and the Sox, the offense is clicking here in game two. Well, you can see why hitters love to come hit in this ballpark. If you can tell when you see Marquez’s reaction, he’s like, oh no Coors Field again, Montgomery his second at bat, stepping in his first time up his first big league hit first big league RB. I it’s this one hard and there’s his second big league hit a triple now, a single and his dad TJ is loving it once you pitch strike three called at the lower end of the strike zone with a fastball at 95 miles an hour and there is a strikeout. That’s number one of those tonight for Herman Marquez, a ground ball to short to Estrada to end the inning of three. The sox up 5 to 2. See if Goodman might be able to keep this inning going for the Rockies, 1 to 2 pitch swing and a miss strike three on a sweeper cannon doing exactly what you prescribed indeed settled in nicely with the bases loaded this year. That continues right here with RC at the plate gets the ground ball past the mound. So the steps on the bag and that will end the threat. Great job by cannon to get out of the bases loaded. Jam the runner at third with two gone. That’s teal. The batter is Josh Rojas. 31 is flared to left and it lands on the chalk will score Rojas with a bloop single. It’s 6 to 2. Marquez stands on top of the mound as if to say, you’ve got to be horning me. Coulson Montgomery. He’s got a AAA single. His first two career hits. Coulson Montgomery three hits tonight in his second big league game. Just keep raking. I know his dad watching in the stands. He’s got to be awful proud of his son. He’s making this big league life look easy there. He is good looking at TJ. All smiles. 31 to Rojas misses outside ball four and the White Sox have scored all their runs tonight with two outs and another good scoring opportunity with austin Slater stepping in and the pitch by Herget and that is hit off the end of the bat for the second baseman Estrada and over to first base for the outs and Jimmy her with a nice job in the top of the seventh inning. So the bases are loaded. No one out for a two run single in the first pitch. Number nine got him swinging Jordan leisure. So tough gets the first out here in the bottom of the seven. And that was a tough at bat by Estrada zero for three 02 ground ball. Roja steps on the back at third to throw to first and the scoop by Noda as they turn to and get out of the bases loaded. Jam. Wow, Houdini by Mr Leisure have them loaded. Nobody out. Perfect time for a two ball. What a scoop by not in first two little snow cone action and the bases are now loaded for L SOA for the Sox. The chance to break this game here in the eighth inning. It’s this one hard to center field and it’s going to fall in front of moniak. One run scores. Here comes Taylor, a two run single for L Sousa as the Sox take an 82 lead in the eighth inning, Brent Doyle. Tough years. It’s been for him offensively good work. He gets left handed, pitching, beat you. I did that field for, this is a home run that’s given up this year. Three to a lefty, three to a righty. Another baserunner that’s five walks by the Rockies tonight. Michael Taylor, the nine hole hitter, Michael A Taylor, a deep drive to center field Doyle looking up and it is out of here , a two run shot for Michael A Taylor his fifth home run of the year. Good catch in the bullpen and the Sox are pouring it on here in Colorado, Steve Wilson coming in for his 30th appearance. Look at that, er, a 1.65 coming in to try to get the final three outs. Rockies down to their final strike. The two swinging a hard one bouncer right to Coulson Montgomery picks it up, throws to first ball game over Sox beat the Rockies 10 3 great offensive night all the way around and they got a shot at a series sweep.

  1. Two dumpster fires in one and Rockies will easily break the White Sox record from last year definitly they have less wins then the White Sox do as well at this time last year.

  2. Scoring all or most of the runs with TWO OUTS…positive stuff. There is enough prospect talent-quit making deadline trades. Keep Houser ..I thought the idea is to win. Tired of prospect rankings and rebuilds.

  3. Rockies are just sorry, if you think of it he attendance is anywhere from 38 to 40 percent down. The only reason some of these individuals are there is so they cab see the fireworks and the rest are unfortunately hoping that the Roclkies will turn it around, yeah right! After three years of triple digit loses and working on a fourth I see no reason to watch or go to the game.

  4. Go Go White Sox. The Popes and Chicagos favorite baseball team won. Fact. 🥃🍺🤤🔥🥵😎🌛🇺🇸

  5. Important win for the Sox in the Battle of the Schmucks. The only way we'll forget 2024 is if someone does even worse in 2025. Well done, boys!
