very many congratulations in the end. It was quite straightforward, but you tell me about your day out there.
Yeah. Um it felt pretty comfortable overall. There was a few moments that um on the start of the back nine that um you know could have gone wrong, but managed to hang in there and finished with some nice birdies.
I mean any doubts sort of ended at the start a couple of early birdies and I guess that really set you on your way. Yeah, I think as soon as I birdied the second hole, hold a nice like 12 footer there, that kind of settled me in and just uh hit a lot of good shots today. Maybe didn’t hold as many parts as the other days, but um it was pretty stressfree in the end.
I know you’ve won a lot in amateur golf and obviously you’ve played in majors before, but how does this win feel in a professional tournament with all these crowds around and everything that goes with it?
Yeah, definitely means a lot. Um obviously had a big lead coming into today but still to you know really focus and I was being chased by some really good players but yeah happy to get it done.
And I guess the shot of the day for you that one into 17 that was pretty spectacular. Yeah I think that or the shot into 16 to set up birdie was just kind of wrapped up from there. So it was nice.
I mean this is the great preparation going into Evian isn’t it? I mean it’s the perfect week for you really.
Yeah. Um it’s it’s perfect. you know, I’m feel like I’m playing well, so hope just to continue that into next week.
And with that in mind, you must be you must be tempted slightly to turn pro after this, especially with all these tournaments coming up.
Uh, no, not not at all. Um, still trying to get my final two points for for the LPGA. So, I’m just trying to get those and then we’ll we’ll see what happens after that.
Well, I think I know what’s going to happen. You’re going to get your hands on many more trophies. It’s time to get your hands on this one. Congratulations.
