What 7 handicap golf looks like at a busy public golf course | Mic’d up 🎙️

Go balling. Come on. Do it. Do it. Do it. Oh yeah, mother. You got eyes on it?
Yeah, that sounded hard. That sounded hard. hard. Oh, [ __ ] just busy. Just [ __ ] busy life. And then the panel shop and then TGC is just I never thought I’d bite off more than I could chew and I officially have.
I know that feeling. That’s next level. Go, go, go, go, go. A, it’s not too good. Not too bad. should know better than that. All right, choke it down. Keep it low. Oh, Jesus Christ. Come on. Don’t go down there. What a start. Oh, golf. E. Oh, right. Let’s try and get up and down, I suppose. Oh, 57 m. I just jumped out of that a bit. Oh, nearly been pretty good.
Yeah. Oh man, I cannot start on double me. Go in. Yay. Lucky that went in. Otherwise, I was down there. It’s into the wind. I don’t think I’m not going to reach them. Come on. Hold up. Oh, might have gone in that bunker actually.
Really?
Maybe the wind was pushing it a bit. It’s got enough. H. So, you’re off work at the moment, Ricky. What’s going on?
Yeah, off till middle of April, mate.
Yeah.
Yeah. Bit of annual leave up my sleeve. So,
Oh, man. I’ve got plenty of that, too. And I just can’t bring myself to take it.
No. Very nice. It’s flat enough to putt. Oh, you got to be joking. How does that finish behind the hole? Might sit on this. No. Well, actually not. Now that I said that, I’ve missed ones like this before. You not played this?
No.
What? Ever?
No, dude. Dude, this is
If they did a private club membership, I would be a member here. Australia.
I love this place. Oh, it’s so left.
How far did you have? 161.
161.
161. I seem to do this a lot. Try and swing thoughts that I’ve been practicing on the range and then bring him to the course. Start like [ __ ] Oh, just jumped out of there. Yeah, I like that. Oh yeah. No, I was thinking about powerade. Green, mate.
Green. I’ve only got Gatorade.
Gatorade. Yay. Just not that left. Oh, that’s a big knock. Oh, not that left either. I should be okay. I’m going to apologize in advance because my swing is rubbish today. So, you guys just going to have to deal with it. Sorry. Uh flag just above the hill up there. Far out. Long way. 179 flag into wind. Probably have to play it like 185 186. Hell. Hopefully there’s enough wind up there. It’s going to hold it up. Don’t know if there is, but we’ll see. 188 to the back. Thing is, do you want to be at the back or do you want to be putting uphill? Let’s go. Committed. Five iron. It’s committed. It’s just leaking right a little bit. Oh, big kick left. Come on. Do it. Do it. Do it. Oh, you mother. Oh, has he hit it? What? What the Oh, no. I really try and miss those. Really do. As close to our boundary as possible. So, how long? All right. 138. Try and keep this just right of the flag and fall short. We’re happy. Come on. Now what? You watch. I guarantee it wasn’t recording. Oh, it’s good. Don’t worry, it’s all good. You missed the hole, brav.
Yeah, I am.
34. Nice, mate. Nice. Effortless.
Oh, get out.
Should be okay. Should No. No. Get a kick. It’s not as long as yours, Ricky, but it’ll do. Solid drive that video. Carg girl just came by. If you know, you know. Watch it all go downhill now. Yeah.
Oh, he’s monstering them now.
You using two T’s?
Yeah. Try this.
Oh, is that the big one? I can’t do the big ones.
It’s the Oh, well, it’s the same. It’s the same thing. Yeah,
two T, but it’s got Teflon instead of the rubber. Oh, cuz I I used to use the bigger head like that and the tour TE’s like for some reason just remind me of my kids ones, you know, the super
T’s
and then they get in my head and I forget that I have to hit a shot. Resistance. Come on, get left. Oh [ __ ] Send it, Kurt. [ __ ] off tree in the way. Seems to be a problem here. There’s a big off tree in the way. We’re just going to have to try and aim for the right side of the green and just hopefully be on that putting surface and give ourselves a putt. I’m just going to try and possibly going to chip an eight iron down there, I think. Anywhere on that rod edge should hopefully do the trick. Yeah. Hit that too high. Hit the tree. Idiot. Let this trickle down to the flag. Come on. Get the hill. No, did not get the hill. They got that little hill. It would have been enough to send it all the way down there. Better do it for the camera. Imagine if I missed. Would not be the first time. Oh, why did I pull it? I was That’s the probably the problem. You can come on if you want, Ricky. I just got to get this thing out.
You can come on if you want. M If I get the optional opportunity to play, I’m always individual. Ah,
of course the one that you need to draw. Just go straight. Oh, Jesus Christ. That got so left. Oh, yeah. Kissed on. It’s all right.
Useless. Oh, it ain’t sitting great. Ah, that was always going to happen. Always going to happen. Yeah. Didn’t really notice. You know what I mean? Nice. That one pocketed out my butthole. One, two, three, four. Hey, Australia. No, that’s
No, that’s that’s just Adelaide. That’s just Adelaide. Y
nice shot, mate. All right. Need a big back 90. 93. You’re right. Oh, it’s always going to be a touch short. It’s not enough. Is there every bump? I swear to God.
[ __ ]
One of these days I’m going to miss those. I hope that’s gone through. Oh, you [ __ ] me. I didn’t even take that tree into account. Oh, it’s too much. Stop. Too much. Go that way. Hi. Oh no.
Finally missed one. It’s got to go left though. I don’t know. I think that’s short. Eh, three left, one right. go.
Just couldn’t trust the read. Euck. again on the edge. E, these greens are definitely slower than the far other ones. Yeah, it does. Like I always find like normally two 3 weeks later something happens, it wakes up and you’re like, “Oh, [ __ ] That’s what that’s supposed to feel like.” Yeah. Oh, [ __ ] everything left today. Come on, spit it out. Or don’t. 138. 138. Looks like it’s at the front. Bit of a bear lie. Chances are I’m going to skinny this. Same for that tree on the right hand side. thing is I’ve been hitting everything left. Let’s just commit to a right-hand target and see what happens. Oh, it’s good. I love golf. E me. All right. Hit a stock left shot. I’ll be happy. You watch the one that I don’t need to go left. Do you watch? Hallelujah. Wow.
There is a golf. Oh no. Of course you had to hit wood, didn’t you? That’s right. She spat it out. How do you think we stay in a grade? It’s definitely not from the quality of golf. All right. Come on. Hit it high. That’s it, mate.
Go ball.
Look at that. Come on. It’s not going to be long enough.
That’s right next to the flag. No, it’s not good enough. Steve, I need some magic in my rounds. and turn your difference.
A big difference. Stick to your routine, people. There’s a nice big bunker there for you, though. You know, I didn’t see that. Well, you normally don’t come into play with that. Come on.
Go ball.
Boring. Pretty good, Ricky.
Good pot. Pardon. Yeah. Turn in, mate. Don’t get angry. Just a game. Stupid game. [ __ ] useless. Come on. Straight down there. Yeah, that’s pretty good. [ __ ] Can you just drop? Come on. this thing down the middle and then just pitching where John and me and No,
I’ve got close so many times. Hit the flag, lipped out all sorts and just [ __ ] thing just won’t go in.
I’m more the fact that it got to the hole.
It is quite uphill, isn’t it? Yeah. Get to the hole, mate. Definitely nothing wrong with the putter, but every time I look at it, you just get filled with bad memories. Go ball. That should be good.
Yeah, I’m running out of steam. Door’s closing. Ding. A [ __ ] Come on, get lucky. Oh [ __ ] that’s went through and kept going. Ah, three towed the [ __ ] out of it. It’s almost like a bunker shot.
It is. I have to treat it as a bunker shot. A I didn’t should not have treated that as a bunker shot. Whoopsies. And now they’re all stoked because they’re all in before the [ __ ]
I know. They’re [ __ ] expensive now, aren’t they? You golf over there. Spin. I need a putting lesson. David. David. Nah. N. Because you’re recording.
No. Because of what happened six holes ago.
All right. These greens are shock, man.
I was picking it up.
Yeah, the front ones were mint. These are no good.
That’s two bars in a row.
Yeah, good job. No, it went in. What a surprise.
Thanks, J. Thanks, mate.
Thanks for Yeah, good to meet you, too. Cheers, mate. Mr. Press marijuana. Just chuck it up. If you want, I can always do a registration thing on Golf Genius where people I can just put a social game and people can just register.
Yeah.
It make it easier for you to handle um who can come and who can’t. See you later.
See you Ricky.
No. No. Come on.

Shot this full round at Collier Park (Lake + Pine layout) using my DJI Osmo Pocket 3 with a backstrap mount on the front of my golf bag. Some of the footage is a little shaky (thanks Premiere Pro for hating warp stabiliser… please fix that 😅).

Join me as I take on the course – you’ll see some good shots, some great shots… and yep, definitely some very questionable ones.

This is real, raw golf from a single-figure handicapper – and spoiler: it’s not all birdies and slow-mo fist pumps. Hopefully this gives you a realistic peek into what everyday golf actually looks like at this level.

👀 Thinking about doing a voice-over version if there’s enough interest – I’ll walk through course management thoughts, strategy, and what’s running through my head before each shot. If that sounds helpful, drop a comment!
