andre how have you been fitting into the new system how are things going for you so far i think I’m going it’s going pretty well um I’m kind of picking up on it pretty fast i’ve watched a lot of tape um a lot of film i’ve spent a lot of hours uh just kind of in the lab is what Staley would call it um but I think I’m doing pretty good coach Moore said that your versatility your ability to adapt you the speed that you have is going to be really helpful for this defense you know how do you see your role um I think my role is going to be pretty pretty crucial i think um I’m going to help the defense out in many ways uh I kind of get the feeling that I had going into my senior year at Tennessee when we had Coach Banks comes in and coach Martinez comes in with the freedom that I have to kind of move around and and just kind of play my game and I kind of feel like a robot out there uh so super excited about it how has it been so far working in Coach Dy’s system has it been long what was it like for you how’s it been working under um it’s been fun uh I’ve actually had a lot of fun playing in it i’ve been able to like I said move around kind of play my my style of play um but once I kind of grasp the book and things like that um I’ve been able to just kind of freely play uh so the playbook side of it I’ve I’ve I’ve kind of like got an idea of how it wants to be played and now I can kind of go out there and and just use my style of play how grateful are you to the past three years just being able to play on the outside being able to play on the inside and now being able to put that into what you’re doing now um super grateful i feel like me playing inside has helped me a lot as far as the knowledge of the game um knowing where I need to be at um you know um kind of playing inside playing outside and having guys like Kool-Aid and Ike and you know uh those guys come in and play on outside of me it feels good knowing like they know what they supposed to do as well so it kind of lets me play that freedom right and then we can kind of communicate and things like that so you know surrounded by some pretty good good guys and guys who are uh going to allow me and uh kind of just kind of play free what are you seeing out of the whole defensive line just how they’re adapting to this new and how you think they’ll fair with the run game this year uh I can’t really speak too much on it um we haven’t really done any team things everything’s kind of been seven on seven but coach Staley uh coach Moore they kind of showed the the individual peers that the Dline and O line have and so just kind of seeing what they’ve been working on and I feel like you know some of those guys being able to just be loose and go out there and play uh is going to help our defense a lot is it crazy to see on the 7 by7s you’re seeing Cam and Carl like dropping into the coverage is that kind of like we kind of see yeah uh I think you know Cam is a little older guy so it look a little rigid there we could probably work with him but Grando you know he kind of feel like he’s a DV at times so uh you know seeing him out there dropping and the confidence that he has after he makes a play or if he even just covers a guy it’s pretty exciting and you know that’s what coach Staley brings to the defense right that versatility of guys just kind of getting the best out of everybody right you can rush um you can also cover and you can kind of just do different things like that what do you what are your what are your overall approaches of K Moore my impressions of him uh Coach Moore is dope um I like him a lot he’s um a young coach you can kind of see that as far as the energy that he brings into the team meetings and you know kind of letting some of the guys pick you know whatever music we’re listening to going into the meetings and things like that but uh I think a guy who’s going to uh you know I think this would be a good role for him uh a guy who has experience like you said of like winning the Super Bowl last year uh you know kind of just coming in and letting everybody have a clean slate you know nobody has any red marks on them right now everybody kind of can tell their own story by the way that they practice and the way they come in a building every day so that’s super exciting you mentioned that you guys haven’t done much 11 on 111 team stuff is that unique to you doing less of that and more of the seven on seven type stuff um I don’t think seven on seven is really football um you know it’s good to kind of see the quarterbacks throw the ball see our skilled guys run routes and get open and with no pressure on the quarterback is all fun in games but you know I’m kind of one of those competitive guys so once we get 11 on 111 and team activity I just want to see that that same efficiency and that same success that the offense is doing now uh does do I feel like it would be like that me personally no um but you know I just the competitive side of everything and you know I’m excited to get to 11 on 111 ball you had a good look at Rajan Wright’s uh interception what did you see on that yeah um you know a guy who um I know what y’all going to write about bombed on whatever it is y’all want to put it to make him look bad um but to come back and and just kind of erase that bad play into a good play um it’s something he’s been doing all all OTAAS right coach kind of talked about it today where he made a mistake and he go out there and make a play so this a guy that’s showing that you know he can kind of let a bad play uh go and he’s not going to kind of carry it over uh so super excited for him the kids growing and and he’s he’s kind of building that that confidence within so you know it happens um it just happened to be a day that y’all were there so y’all can write about it but uh just super excited for him to keep growing what was it like to do some team building yesterday in paintball and Yeah man it that was my first time ever doing it you know country boy from Tennessee you would have thought I’d done that a couple times but that was my first time uh it was super exciting uh nobody had faith in my team uh we went out there and we won it all so uh you know champs is here uh but it was super fun man i know we have another number that they had on that team we going we uh we going to talk about but next week you know we got another community service event to do so I’m I’m super excited about the community service things that you know Coach Moore and the staff and organizations putting in for us to kind of go out there and just help the community but also build that that team camaraderie who’s on the winning team you and it was me Coach Nmire uh the Dline some of the old linemen we had
