Well, well played out there. A round of 73 under. Currently in second place. How do you how do you sum it up?
No, it was uh it was not as breezy as yesterday afternoon, but definitely it picked up. I mean, it’s tricky when it’s windy. So, um I I feel like I hit the ball better yesterday. Probably better off the tea. Um struggled a bit. I mean, it gets hard as soon as you miss the fairways, it gets a bit harder to judge what’s going to happen. So, um I’m happy I hung in there. Happy with how I played. I mean, you can always play better, but uh still a good day on the course.
Yeah. Any other day I would say, “Oh, it’s windy out there. It was tough conditions.” But after yesterday, it seems easy. But of course, it wasn’t.
No, for sure. I mean, it definitely makes you think. Um, and here, too, because sometimes it’s a little bit of trees in the way, and that doesn’t hurt it as much or doesn’t help it. So, it’s uh it’s tricky anytime it’s windy. We said yesterday was the windiest I’ve played since British Open last year. So, it was uh it was definitely it’s I mean, it’s fun. I This is why I came here. This is why I wanted to come and play in Ireland. I wanted to I mean, play the lush green grass and just uh get sunshine, you know? Oh, it’s uh but it’s fun. It’s great. It’s uh it’s challenging every part of your game. Um lucky that the greens are a little bit receptive, so you can still get rewarded for good shots, but it’s a lot of fun.
Usually when you’re 10 under and second heading into the final day, you’re thinking I’m going to have a great chance of winning this, but tomorrow you’re going to have to do something pretty remarkable because I don’t know how aware you are, but Lottywood is currently seven shots clear of the rest of the field. That’s a little bit ridiculous, isn’t it?
Well, I mean, she’s obviously playing great golf. Um I think I I I know how how good of a player she is. I’ve played with her many times uh both in in a few majors. So, uh really good player, really solid. So, um doesn’t mean we can’t go low, but it’s going to be a big task tomorrow for sure.
Big task, but not impossible.
It’s never impossible. It’s still golf. We still play golf. I had a really good round going uh Thursday. So, I know I can go low. I like this. I like what this golf course looks like. It suits my eyes. So, uh roll some putts in tomorrow. You never know.
