My name is Erich and I live in Italy welcome to my channel. I used to play golf on and off for many years, but I started my journey again about 8 years ago, changing my swing completely.
My goal is to become a single figure handicap golfer in the near future.
To achieve this goal, I built my own backyard putting green and set up a backyard golf net. I love playing in my backyard green, doing drills, club reviews and playing at the range and at the course to get better at the game and ultimately reach my goal (hopefully).

All right, guys. So, welcome back to another video. So, today I’m going to give you some tips on the DF3 putters. I feel like a lot of people get them and they think that they’re immediately going to just make all the pots as you can see on YouTube or on all the advertisement. Uh, I feel like there is three things that you have to do if you actually want to make good putts with the DF3 putter. So, stay tuned for the video, guys. [Music] The first thing for me is the fingers. You have to um hold the putter with your fingers. So basically you have to do this right here. No thumbs. You cannot you can do like the drill uh where you can putt like this if you want. But with this putters right here you you can apply pressure with your thumbs because when you do that you start manipulating the face. So I’ll show you on the reiller. This is not the original one, but it’s the same concept. Basically, when you move it back and forth, it’s just going to stay very stable. You don’t need to do anything to it. Okay? So, we know that with the revealer, it’s going to be stable. So that’s why we want to avoid using our thumbs because when we use our thumbs, uh which is what I used to do with my other putters, which work really good. But with this putters right here, uh as soon as you you use your thumbs, you’re going to get it offline. So if you’re not used to gripping it with your fingers, you can do it like this. Just go with your fingers and take your thumbs out. And you can actually do a drill this way. It will take some time to get used to it, but when you take the fingers out of the way, it almost feels like the revealer. So see right here that that feels like the like the rebuilder. This right here feels like the revealer. So there’s nothing you you don’t have to apply any pressure on it. All you got to do is just go back and through. So without the thumbs, just go back and through and it’s going to go in the hole. So tip number two, which I think is just as important, all these three tips for me were uh all important. So tip number two is after you grip it with your fingers, you have to hit up on the ball. I feel like with this putters, you have to hit up on the ball every time. The more you do this, the the more the the face is going to be square. So, basically, uh let me show you. I set up like this, grip my fingers, and then I have to have the sensation of hitting up on the ball kind of like that. So, I’m going this way. Let me show you another one. So, just have that sensation. If you don’t if you if you didn’t do this before, it’s going to be a little it’s gonna take some time to get used to it. Uh for me, I never hit up on the ball. I just hit it square like that. So, this one, it feels a little different, but I feel like that’s the only way to to get that revealer feel. So, get up on the ball like this. And what happens when you do that, you’re going to get top spin. So when you do that is you’re not going to get side spin, but you’re going to get top spin. So it’s going to be easier to get it in the hole like that. Okay. And the last one is tip number three is basically you have to pop the ball. This is again as important as the previous tips for me. You have to just kind of stop. That’s why I put the tea in there. So you kind of have to like uh grip it with your fingers, hit up on it, and just stop right there. So you have to have that sensation of doing pop. And I feel like that just um is going to square up the face even better. So like this. And then kind of just stop like that. And trust me, when you do that, you’re going to take out everything. You you’re taking out your thumbs, so it’s not going to go to the right or left. You’re using as like a revealer and you’re hitting up on it and then you’re stopping right there. You don’t want to continue like that. So do another one. Going to just stop like that. And that’s just going to make it just easier for this kind of potters. Obviously, uh I’m I’m not sure about like other potters, but for this one, I feel like you have to do these three steps right here. So, one more. I’ve been doing this and it just goes straight in the hole every time just up on it. So, for me, it’s taking me some time because I have to get used to um popping the ball, so stopping there. I have to get used to hitting up on it and I have to get used to holding it with my with my fingers. But once I get all those, if I do it all precisely, it works. But uh and it is forgiving this thing. I think it it it will forgive you even if you don’t do it completely right. But uh you have to take your thumbs out of the the grip. I mean, just don’t put pressure on it. Okay? You see that? I mean, just keep going and you can putt really good if you do that. I’ve been working on this for the last like two and a half weeks and I feel like I figured out how to do it. So, get up on it and just stop like that. And it’s just going in. It’s gonna go in every time. The moment I put pressure with my thumbs, it starts going to the right or left. So get the revealer tight because remember guys when you put on the revealer it’s it’s just like that. It doesn’t move. So we got to understand that. Okay. That’s another one. Let’s see if we do all here. That will be my record. I normally get like uh miss at least one, but this will be my record and it’s on video. Let’s see. the last one. I was probably going to miss it now that I put some pressure on myself, but yes, perfect. So, those are three tips, guys. Uh, grip it with your fingers. Uh, don’t put pressure with your thumbs. Just rest on the grip. Uh, the other one is to hit up on it like this. Try to hit up on it. And the last one, uh, you pop the ball. So, kind of stop like that. And you can grip it however you want. And it doesn’t matter. Uh I grip it left hand on the bottom. Uh you can it doesn’t matter how you do it, but as long as you grip it with your fingers. I think with this kind of putters, um you’re going to be better off. I know that a lot of people struggle, especially when you first get it, you know, they seen it on on Instagram, you know, all these people just holding every hole and then uh I looked on some forums and there’s some people that just trouble with them. I think it’s not going to make you a better putter. I mean, if you’re already a good putter and you do a lot of these things, then once you get the lap, you know, it’s only going to make you better. But if you’re not good at putting, it’s not like magically you’re going to get better with just the the lap putter. So, for me, those are three tips that will help you guys. I hope you enjoy that. Make sure to leave a like and don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. Thanks for watching, guys. Until next time. [Music]

That is not unique to lab, but works well with any mallet putter, not so much blade style. But good refresher. That must be the deepest putter hole ever to hold all those balls😀
Was the DF3 worth the $ has it made you a better putter ? nice stroke BTW.
Erich nice review and tips!!⛳️🏌️
