Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana attended the opening of the 4th Binational Business Golf Tournament 2025, organized by the Mesa de Otay Industrial Association (AIMO) to support the Heroic Tijuana Fire Department.
The mayor thanked AIMO members for their commitment to social causes and for honoring the daily work of firefighters in safeguarding the lives and property of the community.
“I appreciate the invitation to this well-attended and noble event, which in its fourth edition has become a benchmark for the solidarity and generosity of the maquiladora industry toward the Tijuana community,” he said.
Mayor Ismael Burgueño of Tijuana highlighted the strong relationship with the industrial sector, noting that such events reflect successful collaboration between government and business leaders, which is a partnership that has yielded significant results.
Meanwhile, José Luis Contreras Valenzuela, President of AIMO, emphasized that the tournament sends a message of unity to industrial leaders, demonstrating their joint commitment to building a better city alongside authorities.
“Thank you all for supporting Tijuana’s firefighters. This is a great opportunity to come together for their benefit and honor their heroic work in protecting us,” Contreras Valenzuela stated.
Rafael Carrillo Venegas, Director of the Tijuana Fire Department, expressed gratitude on behalf of his team for the industrial sector’s support through events like this, which help improve working conditions for firefighters.
The 4th Binational Business Golf Tournament was also attended by Cristóbal Ascolani Castañeda, Strategic Planning Director of Tijuana’s Secretariat of Economic Development; Francisco Javier Fernández García, CEO of GBA Global Business Advisor; Ernesto Pérez Acosta, Grand Marshal; Eduardo García, Tournament Director of Tijuana’s Club Campestre, among others.
