Very well played out there. Round a six under. You’re seven shots clear. What’s your reaction?
Yeah. Um very happy with that. I think I was just trying to extend the lead today if possible and just kind of keep playing how I was playing the previous days and yeah, everything went pretty well.
I mean on moving day you’ve really made the move. You seem so unfased out there in control, no nerves. Was that actually the case?
Um yeah. I mean the front ner played really nicely and um it’s pretty stressfree. start at the back nine. Had to make a good few pass saves, but um chipped it pretty well and made some good up and downs, which I think just kept the momentum.
Yeah, he certainly did. I mean, you were bogey free out there as well. I think that one on 17, that was a particularly good pass save, wasn’t it?
Yeah, I like got a flyer off the fairway miles long and then that chip wasn’t the easiest from there and it wasn’t too bad a chip, but the park kind of looked like it was going to miss right, but then it just kind of dropped back at the end. So, that was nice.
We chatted a little bit about expectations this week. Obviously, you’ve played it down, but entering the final day with a seven shot lead, there can only really be one expectation now. You can’t play this one down.
I mean, yeah, I obviously want to win it, so I’m just going to keep playing my game and then just see where it where it puts me and just keep trying to play well.
There are obviously low scores out there, so tomorrow it’s going to be playing, I guess, sensible golf, and that should keep the chasing back at bay in theory.
Yeah, I mean, I think you can still be pretty aggressive on this golf course. There was a few times today where I laid like uh 15 I could maybe get there but um you know it was a bit of a risk into win and then laid up and made birdie. So like there’ll be stuff like that that I might I’ll probably lay up but the rest I can be pretty aggressive because there’s definitely a score out there so I don’t want to play too conservative.
