Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen weigh in on Khabib Nurmagomedov’s retirement 🗣️ #ufc #khabib #mma

was Kabib’s retirement too soon or at the right time way too soon i thought Kabib could have been fighting today and there’s a chance cuz I mean Islam is a bit of an extension of who he was but to know them is to know that when his dad passed it took a lot away from him and so when he decided I’m going to do something different you know mom’s like hey you and your father started this journey together i don’t want you to do it without him if he made that promise I knew it was over and I will tell you this when the UFC started to negotiate with Kabib they started adding zeros and commas and bigger checks and bigger checks and counterpart to the UFC missed it that that wasn’t the number they needed to change the number they needed to change was 155 lb weight class to 170 lb weight class you would have gone Kabib versus Connor 2 it wasn’t that he didn’t want to fight and he didn’t want to fight Connor i don’t believe that he he didn’t want to beat the scale anymore and that’s the one thing that that the company did miss he retired too early yeah

  1. It’s not “too soon” it’s literally impossible to be “too soon” to retire.

There is only a very very very few fighters who don’t care about how badly they get hurt.

Besides those very few a fighter should retire as fast as they possibly can effectively.

As soon as a fighter feels they have made enough of a name or enough money to not have to fight anymore then they should 100% get out of the ring.

EVERY SINGLE fight could end up either being the end of your life or the end of your life as you know it.
All it takes is one small slip up and it doesn’t even have to be intentional and they end up brain dead for the rest of their life.

Any fighter should fight as little as possible while still making sure that the time they put in is going to pay off. 😊

  2. Chael making up a story about Khabib not wanting to cut weight anymore cause his brain cant accept the fact that money isn't everything

  3. Thats pretty selfish telling your son "you and your dad made this life and I dont want you doing it without him?? Wtf she should 1000% still want him to fight to carry the legacy on if everyone did that is sports fml 25% or 40% NBA and NFL would not be in the mtherfkering game hshahaha

  4. Dana said it best. If you want to retire, then you should probably retire. Fighting without your heart in it, for whatever reason, is almost always a bad idea.

  5. Khabib retired undefeated with his allure of invincibility intact. He also made millions of dollars and didn’t suffer any serious injuries. Our last memory of Khabib is dominance, our last memories of others fighters is sad.

  6. Chael Sonnen doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. He could have easily gone up to 170. Dumbazz

  7. Khabib retired at the right time. Islam was not going to challenge Khabib, so even though Khabib is retired we got to see Islam blossom.
