Do you practice every day? Like are you at the course every day or do you take some time off?
Yeah, I mean it depends. Like coming back from like Korea,
like I’ll take a few days off or something like that. Like you know,
Liv is nice just cuz like we have like that time off in between tournaments like in order to like even just go like see my coach like you know like travel to California or do stuff like that. But yeah, I’m at the course every day. To be honest, I would say like after those long like trips back home, it’s almost better to go to the course cuz you’re so jet-lagged. Like you’re waking up at like 1 2 in the morning and then by noon, 1:00, like P.M. like that day, you’re like ready to go to bed. So if you can like go to the course and like stay awake, it’s like

I’m not I’m not working on drills. I’m just trying I’m literally just trying to stay awake. Like would you say like live’s been good for you or did you say would you like
No, Liv’s been Liv’s been amazing. Like honestly like
that’s what everybody said.
No, it it really has like and I and I went over to to live like from the PGA tour at kind of like a I don’t want to say like a low point, but like I’ve definitely been I was like struggling with my game a little bit. I was struggling like being out there before any of my friends or anyone that I knew was on the PJ tour yet. Like now like there are so many guys that I played junior golf with and amateur golf with that are like out on tour. So, I think it would have been different if you were like asking me to go now because like I know so many people out on the PJ tour now that are like around my age. But when I made that decision, like I was
21, 22 years old, like pretty lonely out there. Like wasn’t playing all that good. Like it was just to be honest like more than anything. Like not financially, not like I was just like looking for like a fresh start. a new tour and you know try to mix it up a little bit just to get a fresh start. Like I said,
do you regret leaving school early or no?
I mean I can’t say yes.
Like you know what I mean? Like I got out there
I can’t like you know what I mean? Like I’ve just had it too good with leaving school early. Like you know just like the deals that I signed and like winning my third event and everything like that. Like I I’m never going to say I wish I wouldn’t have left school. But I would say like to be honest like I’m very fortunate with how everything worked out because I left school did what I needed to do like got on got on tour one like established myself and then to be honest co hit and I moved back to Oklahoma cuz that’s what like like the whole world ended like I moved out here right when I turned pro and then the whole world ended and then I moved back to Oklahoma with where like my girlfriend now my wife she was already or she was in school out there all my friends were out there. Like it was kind of like the best of both worlds cuz I turned pro and then I got like to go back and like hang out with my friends and stuff. So
So I’m I’m fortunate. Like I felt like it it worked out well for me.

Like I like it to be like, you know, the tournament be packed and stuff like that, but like being able to like go out to restaurants and go eat places and like kind of explore a little bit and stuff like that’s that’s what’s cool to me. I mean, playing on live, you get just you just get to see like go to all these cool places and stuff that, you know, experience things that I never thought I’d be able to.

The one he won the majors with. So, I tried him for a couple of events. Um you know, super super good guy, great caddy. I just I don’t think we mesh that well. just, you know, I’m more of I need someone who’s like going to be out there like,
you know, like not just to like help me, but like keep me company, talk, you know, keep me loose, like hang out and stuff. So, um, didn’t work too well. And then, um, I won with a guy named Steve Lomire who was a caddy out there for a while. Um, I don’t know if he caddies anymore though, but, um, again, like, you know, great guy and stuff. Just felt like it was a a little intense. Like, I’m intense myself, so sometimes I kind of want someone who’s like a little bit more laidback. You know, Nick was Nick was playing at the time. He was a pro. He was on he was on the team as well. He was on my the 2018 national championship team.

Um again, not a starter, but um really good player and stuff and we became friends in in college and um he was kind of like in between. Didn’t really have any status anywhere and I just asked him I was like, “Would you be willing to,
