Some really tough, tricky, windy conditions for the players on the ladies European tour for day two of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open coming from Carton House Fairmont on the Omira course. Some really important birdie twos on the back n for the owner Magguire that saw her make the cut at one over par. One of the rounds of the day came from an Charlotte Mora. The French player started round two with an eagle and got up and down at the last for a 67. That leaves her at five under par overall. Impressive results continue for Hannah Screen, the English player with an Irish mother with a round of 72 on day two. She’s right in the mix again at six under par. Talking of good recent form, Amelia Garvey has finished third in two of her last three tournaments bogey free on day two. One of only two players to do so. She is at seven under par in a share of third alongside Maline Sagstrom. Three birdies in the last four holes from a player who’s won on the LPJ tour this year, the Swede with a round of 71. So she’s seven under par and also on that mark her Soulheim Cup teammate Charlie Hull right in the mix the world number 19 from England with a bogey-free 69 on Friday. Kirsten Roley’s finished top five in the last two KPMG Women’s Irish Opens and she’s in the top five again. Another at seven under par after a 68 on day two. How about this finish from Kiara Tambellini, last year’s number one on the Ladies European Tour. A nine iron into 18 for a closing birdie to leave her with a round of 71. Eight underpar second on her own, but three behind the world number one amateur Liy Wo. Bogey 368 on day one. Followed that with the equal best round of the day, 67 on day two to sit at 11 under par. A threeshot lead from W, who at the moment is upstaging the pros in Ireland.
