continuing to move i saw the decal right there it is it It definitely looks like it’s moving there it is i thought I saw it moving count it put the phone down that’s a birdie for Victor Havland at 14 he’s thinking about it he’s thinking it’s got a chance if he gets a gust gets about 10 seconds it’s probably right around that number now oh yeah goodness patience pays off adam Shank for backto-back delay how long’s he got there Frank well he’s allowed to walk to the hole and then 10 seconds obviously you can’t dawle just a a normal walk but that one looks like that ain’t moving he’s counting look yep he’s counting he’s savvy savvy veteran 42y old yeah sadly even that is a Oh now you’ve got to put the stopwatch on it came from just off that’s a good line right there really good line oh no no way i agree no way so close yeah just give me one little turn and you get a reasonable amount of time they’re not watching grass grow folks they’re just waiting for that ball to fall can’t wait much longer i mean yeah I just got to go ahead and tie it unless that ball’s moving i’m as tight on it as I can be yeah in in most circles they would say that Yeah [Applause] we saw fish yeah I don’t know here’s pot i mean hung over the hole definitely exceeded time but as I go up there I go “This ball’s moving.” I could tell it’s moving it took a long time but could tell we kept watching go I’m telling you it’s moving and it did fall in but beyond by the time you’d had reasonable time to reach the hole and 10 seconds beyond that point it still dropped in after that point in time yes but I would I would swear to you that that that part is correct but I would swear to you like I stopped him i said your ball is moving like the mechanics of the rule work that even though that ball may be in motion but u at that point in time the the player would be entitled to either tap it in and in your case you waited but because you waited beyond 10 seconds that ball would be but what’s the thing because uh he ne the we think the ball was still moving and he never used his club so what score would he make because it was longer than 10 seconds that the additional stroke would be added to your score even though the ball is moving you can’t hit a moving ball correct but in this situation the rules are modified because you could argue that there comes a point in time that we’ve got to play that golf ball and that’s why we put that time limit on it wow y I was certain it was I’m certainly not are you certain that it was beyond the 10 seconds because we can obviously review the when’s the 10 seconds startable time to get to your I mean I can we can review it but if if you think it’s you just add on the additional stroke say that well I mean look at it we’re going to be here 3 hours okay we’ll certainly take a look for your is your putt right yeah you add the additional stroke see very accepting there um and that was Steven Cox PGA Tour rules official explaining and the modification of a ball coming to rest but what he said was accurate what Cooer said was accurate it’s just that modification in the rules that even though the ball is moving there’s a reasonable amount of time on the green in that situation to where you just can’t wait 30 seconds if you wait more than 10 seconds then it counts as a stroke even if the ball falls
