hello and welcome back to the channel in today’s video we’ve got a super exciting comparison video I’ve got in front of me the Mizuno Pro 241 and I’ve got the Muno Pro S3 brand new we’re going to H some shots on the gc3 on the forite we’re going to get some numbers and I’m going to show you the differences between these two very exciting new irons let’s get into it [Music] [Music] okay so hello everyone welcome back to the channel my name is Jack this is Jack Le golf if this is your first time on this channel please make sure you’re doing the usuals of liking sharing subscribing like I said two very exciting irons to test out today we’ve got the Muno 241 Pro muscle back incredibly good-looking it something that I definitely consider using and we’ve also got the Muno S3 likewise I would also consider using so couple of specs both of these irons 34 degrees in Loft both of these irons 2 degrees upright more towards my spec and the shaft I’m going to be using today is the projectx 6.0 uh so stiff just what I’m using at the minute keeping it nice and um and plain so plan of action is I’m going to about 10 shots with each club uh I’m going to talk you through the features of both of these golf clubs as I’m hitting and then we’re going to come together at the end look at the results and show you the differences if there are any golf ball that I’m using today down here at the club donc cter at the indoor golf Center I have got a titless prov1x RCT golf ball that one we’re all about accuracy down here at the club so we using the most appropriate golf ball uh as you can see I’ve already started a little bit of testing off camera so I’m going to continue that along uh let’s go for the Muno Pro 241 first beautiful looking iron and like I said we’re also going to talk about the features as we’re going through so we are on the FSX pro software we’ve got a flag out there at 170 yards uh let’s h a f let me talk you through what I think to this club so first things first looks wise absolutely beautiful looking Club the blade length is not the shortest blade that I’ve ever seen when it comes to these style of irons so it’s not as scary as what you probably presume a Blade’s going to be uh does look very very usable very hitable it’s got quite a considerable cavity I want no not a cavity it’s got quite a considerable amount of weight in at the back as well so it does inspire a little bit of confidence despite it being a muscle back iron so super interested to see how these go feeling wise everything that you expect from amuno so I did a live video of the S3 the other day if You’ not checked that out already make sure you go do so uh nearly all that one nice one um yeah absolutely incredible feel I think it’s only really in the recent years that Muno has been caught up by maybe stricken when it comes to the field Department you’ve got your Japanese foraging companies that are similar to Muno when it comes to a Field capacity but yeah these are pretty good so like we said at the start of the video the spec of these the two degrees upright uh standard length my kind of specs again another good shot liking these right one more then we talk you through the features of this 241 little bit thin that one be interested to see how it does still carried 164 spinning at 6,000 so just where I’d want to see it numbers wise not quite back onto the Target right let’s talk specs and features okay so I’m on Muno website now I’ll pull an image up on screen so you guys can see this as well what I’m reading from so the Muno 241 Center Muscle uh pure shot makers muscle back with the mass accumulated centrally behind impact that’s what I’ve just referred to that I was just shown you guys as a result of the pursuit of a Fine Design details made possible through the long-term relationship between mizuno’s R&D team and it’s exclusive grain flow forging plant in Hiroshima Japan so doing part two that grain flow forging that’s why these irons feel as good as what they do uh a new age of forging so the muscle back has reestablished itself as mizuno’s most play model on tour over the last couple of Seasons so we gave our professional ambassadors a more involved role in the development of the Muno Pro 241 you can see their influence most in the narrower Topline and compact scoring irons so it’s got an aggressively tapered blade a more obvious tapering of the upper blade potion I think that’s meant to say position misso if you’re watching change your spell it uh delivers an ideal trajectory through the set with flighted long irons and penetrating short irons thinner to Preferred top lines so the Muno guys on tour have had some input when it comes to the design of these is I’m thinking Keith Mitchell as a Muno staff player refined from prior blades through both weight movement within the head and adjustments in final manufacturing increased bounce angle so an increase by a degree in the long irons and two degrees in the scoring irons for improved Turf interaction that’s interesting more compact short irons a distinct shortening of the blade length in the shorter irons was a direct request from the majority of Muno players so I’m presuming that’s going to be a progressive thing throughout the set 79 don’t look scary maybe when you get into eights and Nines It really just starts shortening Up full satin brush beautiful finish on these irons less reflective finish in keeping with the overall modern appearance everything that you’d expect from a blade really so the little minimal tweaks that we’ve got little bit more weight in placed at the back of the head to hopefully um increase ball speed on off center H but for the most part everything that you expect from the blade really blades haven’t really changed maybe apart from loss for how many years probably look back to mid 90s and really seen a real difference when it comes to uh blade design and changing too much that a little bit heavy still very uh very consistent with the shot pattern though how many shots we now eight so two more and then we’re going to swap it across I’m going to get that um Muno S3 Pro iron and then we’re going to have a look and see what the numbers are just push that one a touch more that’s one okay so good little bit of testing then uh not all out of the middle so there were a couple of off-centered strikes on there be interesting to see how those perform what I’m going to do now is I’m going to take this project X 6o not shaft I’m going to put it in the S3 head and do the same again 10 shots right so the S3 beautiful looking Club is in just one side not mentioned this in my full review other day so if you want to see what this iron is all about make sure you go and watch that video but this slightly ugly thing is from a fitting point of view so when it comes to the actual irons this neck goes straight into the head it looks a lot sleeker than this but this is needed from a fitting point of view so same again we’ve got the project te 6.0 in 10 shots let’s see what numbers we get slight boo boo on my behalf as well as I normally do with these uh tests the First batchy Data is from the pro 241 Ed but on there I have tagged it as the S3 so when we come to looking at the data at the end remember these are the wrong way around nobody’s fault other than my own so right 10 shots let’s see if we can H that Target same spec two degrees uppr same shaft same Lane little bit chunky that one little bit pushed as well no real drop off in distance spin wse we have lost 400 revs or so on that one to be expected with that strike location right that strike was a little bit Healy but it’s not made too much difference to the numbers again we’ve lost a little bit of spin because that strike weren’t quite centered but all in all pretty good if you go and check out the review that I did on this club you will see that uh Mizuno have done a couple of things when it comes to the Forgiveness of this club so we’ve got a copper um I would say insert there’s some copper behind this little cavity that it’s got here spread out across the club face so that on your offc Center strikes you retain a bit of ball speed and with seen evidence on that and I definitely saw evidence on my full review that might be where this golf club just as the upper end on the 241 bit more push that [Music] time that were a good strike just not turning back onto Target but that were a good shot right that uh yes we have lot some distance on that one about four five yard so to be expected definitely a little bit higher on on the face that one last one then we’ll have a look at some numbers T in a little bit pushed 161 carry that time cool right so that’s 10 shots done with each let’s now have a look at those all important numbers let’s see what the main differences are between this S3 and that 241 right so here we are so on top like we said down messed up we have got this is the S3 this is the pro 241 so let’s have a look at S3 first so I feel like a teacher with this shaft as well by the way pointing and stuff uh 11 16.1 ball speed versus the 241 which was 11 15.9 so nothing really in them to separate them launch angle a little bit higher this is the only real thing that changes between these two clubs so in the S3 top set of data 20.5 launch angle uh Pro 241 19.7 so ever a slightly lower launching you would expect that out of a blade little bit lower launching a little bit more spinning uh spin axis tilt this is dependent on how much open or close I deliver that phase to a path so you can see that this is all kind of user error pretty similar though so I’ve done a fairly decent job today uh when it comes to spin rates we’ve got 5,832 versus 5,802 so minimal change in those spin rates these two are shaping up to look like a very similar Club carry distance 162.5 versus 162.5 SO2 yards with a standard deviation of next to nothing in between them offlin we had nine yard left on average with the S3 and we had three yard left with the um 241 you will notice though that I pushed a couple again this is all user error um both of these clubs fit to my exact specification and need so it’s got my shaft in it it’s got the two degree L angle that I use these are the dispersion circles for the respective clubs so I ideally should have color coordinated a bit better noticing that the pro S3 had a little bit more of a right bike than the uh 241s this is all user error one thing that is brilliant about these LS though is look at that front and back dispersion so from my shortest off center strike to the ones that are absolutely peaching there’s no difference this is a huge advantage to these golf clubs so if you are in the market for a player iron and you want in playability let’s say that you’ve got a chunkier iron head for the time being and you Noti in big jumps in centered strikes versus offc Center strikes first and foremost get good at striking it that’s I know that sounds arsh and then second uh get an iron that’s going to help you do this cuz then I’ve got great confidence than anything from 160 to 167 that’s as far and as short as we’re going to get so super impressive that so all in all you can see uh not much difference between both of these clubs so it begs the question then what would make you get one over the other I think it comes a lot down to looks you might have a preference in which one looks better between these two as you see them both down they are very similar Top Line so blade length not much in it really all there I know the 2 41’s probably the smallest blade length that Muno are doing currently in any of their irons but the Muno Pro S3 also has a very Sleek look to it slightly difference in the cber so as we said earlier these 241s have been increased the Bounce has been ever slightly increased so shorter irons two degrees More Bounce one degrees more in the other irons depending on the turf interaction you may go to the S3 because as you can see there it’s a slightly different Underside and all of this can be found out if you go for a fitting so if you do get chance to get fitted for either of these get them on the grass go and see what your Turf interactions like because they are ever so slightly different when it comes to that performance-wise very similar on the off-centered strikes I saw similar kind of drop offs in both just as you’d expect um but all in all both incredibly solid both very very good looking irons both very good feeling um we do fittings down here at the club Doncaster so if you want to try any of the Muno range this year getting such where all the links are in the description below come and try these out uh I’ve really really enjoyed them there’s probably going to be a couple more Muno videos coming in the next few days so stay tuned for those if you’ve not yet seen the full review the live review of the S3 iron go ahead and do so that’s going to be linked uh on my channel it’s going to be there somewhere uh but yeah apart from that two very good irons two very well performing irons could they be making their way into your bag leave us a comment in the section below I’ve enjoyed that hope you guys have two I will catch you in the next one it’s in a bit [Music]

You lost me at 4:43 when I realized that I was letting you read me descriptions from the Mizuno website. Thanks…I can read.
Great video thanks – really helped compare these two irons!
I think "potion" might be supposed to be "poRtion?" 🙂
Hmm…so there is really no difference at all in the performance of the clubs ……other that the variation in strike/user etc….seems to me you'd not notice any difference at all in real terms on the course? SO……….why would mizuno make them? I am an interested party who plays the 243 JPX tour and was looking to the new S3 ( as the "replacement" ) to give me something….other than looks….not sure, based on your findings, they would 🙁
Appreciate the video. Why would you say that the left and right dispersion is attributable only to user error? I mean it looks shockingly obvious that you hit the 241 significantly better granted it’s only a small sample size but if I were in the market, and I saw that big of a difference, I would throw the S3 pro out the window.
I was looking at bagging the S3 P but I think I’ll make the game harder and get the 241s. 😂
Thinking about doing a split set of S3 in 4,5,6 iron and 241 in 7-PW, currently game the 221s 4-PW and hit the long irons fine but think the S3 would provide just that little extra forgiveness in the long irons tho not forgiving in general. Thoughts?
Mizuno Pro S3 has got to be the most beautiful irons ever crafted.
I’ve been using 241 for a year. 250+ rounds. Effing love it
Which clubs did you like better?
A good thing is it to turn off sound The hitting S3?
