Andrew Novak has had a breakout year but he talked about how important it was last year to get into contention on the weekend of a golf tournament.

Yeah, that was a goal of mine for that entire fall stretch was to basically put myself in contention to win a golf tournament. I hadn’t really done that much. Um, I had a decent year last year. Uh, statistically, like was very strong, very consistent through the year, but I really didn’t have like chances to win tournaments. Saturday at Bermuda, I finally kind of broke through and had a good proper Saturday performance to put myself in position. And then uh Sunday kind of fought through, you know, it was really windy on Sunday. Fought through some tough conditions. Kind of kept kept myself right around the lead and um gave myself a chance there at the end. Just Rafa played really really well down the stretch.
