In the second round of the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday 2025, Scottie Scheffler shoots 2-under 70 to get to 4-under after 36 holes. He’s three shots back entering the weekend.

The PGA TOUR heads back to Jack’s Place for The Memorial Tournament presented by Workday, marking the penultimate Signature Event on the 2025 PGA TOUR schedule. Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio is set to once again be a challenging host venue. Defending champion Scottie Scheffler looks to become the first player since Tiger Woods to successfully defend his title at the Memorial. The FedExCup champ returns to action after his win at the PGA Championship and a tie for fourth at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Alongside the World No.1 in the field this week is last year’s runner-up Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Åberg, Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele.

[Applause] it’s raining but there’s not a breath of wind out here that will be within a couple feet of where scotty sheffller was aiming that golf ball got right out of the gate with this frank yeah i just said he was losing shots on the green if we’re going to show the good ones here this was a great way to start for sheffller a little knock down that that came very close to those branches i guess he knows exactly what he’s doing leaves it in the ideal spot again going to be cutting up the hill from there keep the mud off it this is probably the lowest fairway this are five on the property that’s going to be perfect there down that left side i love these sort of shots in trouble so he’s got to play a third shot with a short wedge got to pick a target know these greens are softer he can spin it and bringing it back well certainly with the improvement in the putting a couple of years ago it might not have been but uh in such difficult conditions the world’s number one there’s couple under par potato [Applause] you know he has the perfect attitude and demeanor on a day like this all he’s thinking about the green and the closely mowing area a little farther right than he wanted i bet he makes four yeah i do too i did too couldn’t uh unless you’re going to hit it on the green that’s the ideal spot to hit it build the cap that’s when it becomes an annoyance and you see these guys turn it around skitted skipped and still got it in there just judging it perfectly yeah and bump it into the hill skip it into the fringe skid down there i think maybe that was the 56 rather than the 60 it might have been yeah [Applause] here he comes mhm watch out he can be mechanical and robotic in his approach but he’s still very artistic maybe that’s too nuanced but he can shape shots when he wants or just take him right at it to john’s point and it’s going to kick left we’ve lost him as well yeah beautifully done kept underneath the hole there you’ve got to fly it all the way to the hole if not 10 ft beyond because short is really bad oh it’s just perfect really is the target is so tiny down there because the elevation of the tea it’s 167 yds it plays seven down so it’s 160 but ted scott we want to hit it 165 cuz that’s a little protection behind the flag a it perfect execution not happy about the discussion taking place scotty sheffller 114 yeah thick thick lie and that’s the proper play from there finally made five bogeies in a week i might have bounced back a little better too i made five a day oh there’s a good one here challenges that left side drifting back towards the middle of the fairway that’s ideal okay no problem now does find that little corner birdie there birdie at five went out three under this at 11 his third another pop five had to lay up now here’s the thing that’s coming off a double at 10 well he is second in the bounceback category once again putter has not been cooperating last hour or two there we go we had a great view from behind there perfect roll oh chef’s kiss this might end up in a great spot if it goes uh yes indeed that is going to be absolutely ideal going to be putting straight up the hill and didn’t just pick up the bogey but the double bogey back to back and he’s swinging at it beautifully he’s missed a few fairways but not big misses this will not miss the center of the fairway this is ideal here amongst other things man that sounded solid go go go there you go that’s going to continue to release down towards the middle of the green another quality iron shot 11 events this year so far for scotty sheffler in that round and two birdies in a row and then at 14 not too long to go though you can see he got that a little heavy big divot saw a number of all right here’s scotty at 14 and the reason he dropped all the way down there was to get a better angle to try to chip in and make par which he certainly tried to do he’s going to be able to get out of there with a five break towards the right as it lands on the green [Applause] that was a good after after the uncharacteristic wedge shot but he will drop back to four under par so a double at 10 birdie’s at 11 and 12 two putt par at 13 tap in bogey at 14 second shot in the water in penalty area right of the green yeah just a layup here at the par five talked about giving himself some more opportunities only hit six fairways yesterday he’s driven driven a little bit better today but he’s been in some tough spots thankfully that stays out of the penalty area [Applause] trying to hold that face square through impact oh yeah why not just go what a shot now sheffller he’s got a great short game didn’t quite come out like he wanted it to but it’s okay there poured it right in the defending champ stays at 4 under par three shots back oh it’s tidy very tidy 7070 first two days thanks for watching the pj tour on youtube for more videos click here
