It’s set to be a summertime sprint for the game’s best on the PGA TOUR as the John Deere Classic returns for another year. Rickie Fowler is back at TPC Deere Run for the first time in 15 years. This year, Fowler is looking to earn valuable FedExCup Points as he sits No. 72 in the standings, but has three top-20 finishes in his last six weeks. Two-time 2025 winner Ben Griffin is set to tee it up after a T5 in his debut at TPC Deere Run last season. Griffin also finished runner-up at the Memorial Tournament, and is playing some of the best golf of his career. Joining these two are Jason Day, Tom Kim and Max Homa among others looking to secure a win five weeks away from the FedExCup Playoffs.

just a few yards closer. Uh a little tighter of an angle further left in the fairway, but again, uh he’s taking it a little higher, maybe a little less spin. Really good. Really, really good. Obviously, and
see that reaction of Max’s golf ball and the reminder to give it a little extra effort and uh also taking some of that spin off to your point. back but he is going to try to land this four or five short of it just below the ridge and see if he can get it to release back there. That’s not a great line.
Yeah, what a shot.
Sure was. Yeah, very right hand side of the fairway but clear angle again. Wants to hit something very similar to what Max did. Probably favoring a little left of the hole but not a lot. Another dart from Ricky. It’s a little tough to a back left leftish whole location, but again should be just a a really good five iron for Max. Gosh, it has some great flow to it, wouldn’t it? But when it it’s set, we don’t know what’s going on in his mind, but when it’s set and that the way it rotates through, he has been getting the club stuck behind him, but
down. Yeah, from way downtown is Max Ola. Good call, Carl. See if he can find a little magic here at 13. And he does. First birdie of the day for Michael Kim here at the par for 13th from 14 ft. Rolls one in.
I can tell you this is his 21st attempt from this range this season. went up on the high side. That’s going to be inside that 16 ft circle. That is a fantastic shot. Michael Kim, it’s an opportunity to get one back of the chalet there. Left side or at the flag. That one was going right at it. Sew Kim with an outstanding look at birdie up ahead at the 16. That’s such
we know he’s not afraid to take dead aim and I would expect that from 152 left of the pit.
Little teammate birdie putts from over there.
That’s a great angle for him. Likes to play a little draw. Can start one toward the middle. Work it toward the whole location. Oh yeah. Michael Kim target practice. Michael Seu Kim out of the sand here at 17.
Out of the sand into the hole. See Woo Kim the big bird. Receptive greens. Firm fairways. Jump ahead to the first. This is the third for Sew Kim.
Yeah, I was able to get the putter on. I didn’t know that was an option
and it was the right one. But it’s Thursday and you sense the pressure when when you step on the property being well outside the not only the playoffs but the exempt number. Beautiful shot.
Well, and then you get from from 101 to 125 and plenty of good things for this man home is second. Yeah. from position A back right whole location. Working it in there. Beauty. You get this comfort feeling in your mind when you Well, he’s been ironing it great today. Don Hill walks it in. They get the camera tire and a little drift pop. kind of like that. These guys are scared of anything. The theatrics, the demeanor.
Third shot for Fowler. Back into the wind. This on a good line. Needs to hold tight. Hold that. Ricky Fowler. Yes. Eagle all day. What’s that going for? The green percentage stat.
Not if you wedge it like Fowler. working on that flexibility. Austin Ecro now. Don’t over hook it. Don’t hook it. Okay. Yeah, good. Good shot. Get it all the way back there. But you’re flirting with danger. Just about 330 to the front. I I don’t think Doug can carry it that far, but there’s a down slope coming off those bunkers. Exactly. Which can propel it forward. This is perfection. Really getting better.
Use the contour of the land beautifully. Good. Ideal at 14th for GM black.
Yeah, I think you can look at just the left edge to that right bunker. Should spot again that was L spend its on the bag for the first time and I think that the the message was really clear. So they got on the page quickly and he he even thought the five line was going to be too long there. So the execution I think he can just hit his patented shot little left to right cut eight iron. Great line. What are we doing? Look at these two guys. Sort of right there. He just needs to find the fairway. When he was at the height of his fouls, top 10 putter, the stroke was always looked good. Lowour ball on the way from 43 yards. That’s a beauty. Seeu Kim now knocking on the door for seven under. See, we’re putting cross-handed this week.
Got a new putter in the bag. I like it. He changes every other day. Hasn’t missed a fairway and has only missed one green in regulation. Michael Kim,
just go ahead and play some G. Have a day. See Woo at the sixth. Some juice on that. Oh yeah, that’s tasty. Three good looks upcoming though, Lauren here. He needed to get something going. He certainly did. He listened to you
in that little stretch for the golf course. When Perk speaks, people listen, Gimm at 16.
Actually, they turned the volume down, I think.
Oh, get in. Tell that iron game. How aggressive can you be with this one? Not really. You saw those first two. Oh, this looks good. Yes, sir. Sam Stevens to six under par. And you just see that right side kind of feed the ball back right to left. Pleading for it. Needs some juice on it. Uh-oh. Look out. So steep. Yeah. Max’s second year on tour. As you watch Fowler down the hill, he made two cuts. He was 250th in the FedEx Cup. Now he’s won six times after that. So, it’s in there. Yeah.
Did he come on? How many more people are going to put that putter in play now? 35 ft straight down the hill.
For those wondering, that is the DF2 model. The shot here for Ricky is past the flag stick in the center of the green. Oh, yeah. not try to hold it. I mean, it is a wedge, guys. How about that? Doesn’t take a lot of thought to look at that card and recognize what he’s putting together. Yeah. Back left flag to this long path three. Holy cow. Another beauty. Back that little hole. It picks up the golf ball
for the little pony. It It picks up the golf ball. Ball on the way for Homer. Come on, keep coming. It really does. It’s the beauty of the putter. All it’s missing is a suction cup on the end of the grip. And then you have something like that. And that catches the down slope. There’s the slope. Pretty pretty ball is exactly what Ricky Romano said. And now another early opportunity. Let’s go back. No, he is making everything. What a budding performance from Max today. Ecro for birdie at 18. Got it. Austin Ecro to eight under. What a round he put together here today. Yeah, it’s a career changer. I don’t know. It’s so much a life changer, but you know, his dad’s out here support him. He’s walking ahead and uh just enjoying the mode that’s going to go. You bet. Poter with a three at the 10th. He’s two under. Is our fourth Eagle of the day at the 10th. Actually been more Eagles at 10 than there have been on 17, which is a little bit strange.
Got to accelerate though. Really clean.
Oh yeah, really clean. Better than pop burries it. Second Eagle on this back nine. [Applause] Walk it off with the two on the par four. Thanks for watching the PJ tour on YouTube. For more videos, click here.

Informative and informative!!!
Yea quad cities
Trash highlight only showing M.Kim, S.W.Kim, Fowler, Homa and Ghim
Looking for the Aussies. Looking, looking, looking, looking………….. FOUND THEM! All three near the bottom with a combined 14 over par on a very easy scoring course. We used to be good.
I thought Thumbnail pic was Tooms and Sam Heung 😂
Not exactly a first rate field!
Was wondering if Potgetter was playing,then…..
Homa/Fowler show that's sickly 😷
Hey @PGATOUR is anyone else playing this weekend? I only see 6 players from your highlights. My sticks are in the garage if you need more…
Every now and then Ricky likes to remind people he’s good at golf
Shows he could have had a 61 but missed a couple putts and had a bogey and a double-bogey after the great birdie-birdie start. Homa could have had a 62 with either a better sand shot on 18 or made a very tricky putt he missed at 18 for a bogey. So while Homa was 3 strokes lower, it was mostly putting and near flawless iron play although Fowler was razor sharp with his wedges and holing out for Eagle and a couple others that were tight and another almost got in from a full shot! Not easy to score 66 with a bogey and a double-bogey but those 2 holes alone, if parred would have made him even with Homa and the 2 short missed putts to go to 61 makes your jaw drop at the skill levels these guys are at! I watched highlights of BOTH and hope they keep it up and get big paychecks!
Did they just pick 6 players to show us the course????
ghim, lipsky, si woo and michael kim – koreans all over the leaderboard
How did we see Homa at the 18th and then minutes later Homa at the 2nd? Lol
Another classic PGA tour highlight masterpiece with the smallest sample size of players at random holes throughout the round for seemingly no reason.
Kuchar went 6 deep and Snedeker went 4… cmon where are they?
Rickie is on 🔥
@pgatour not sure why you played si woo's 16th shot twice in a row, but i feel like you thought it was a different player…
