exciting day today sweden’s cove we’re late for our uh introductory meeting we booked the course for the day so it’s gonna be good we have a lot of golf special place [Music] the tradition judah is um first timers you have to do a shot of whiskey when you play here and uh it’s free because when you come back your second time you bring a bottle and donate it to the wealth huh that’s fantastic that’s a great tradition uh it is early it’s like nine a.m normally i don’t start till around 10 10 30. well what do you think day like today it’s a little chilly all right appreciate you guys coming out new friends old friends playing some golf today right here cheers cheers oh wow that’s whiskey that’s burning right here all right it’s burning this is the practice putting green it’s 16 000 square feet crazy let me tell you how this works sweden’s cove is unlike any other golf course you’ve ever experienced near chattanooga tennessee this place is owned by peyton manning and i think andy roddick and a few others basically you show up and you play all day do whatever you want basically it’s like your playground of golf for the day it’s nine holes but don’t don’t let that throw you it’s not nine poles it’s nine holes that it can be 36 different holes if you want it to be depends what tee boxes you use there’s two pins per green so you can play any pin any tee box any combination probably more than 36 holes and you just go until you can’t go anymore so we’re hoofing it to number two to start off number one the par five number two is a par four number three is a par five so we’re starting on two this place has no driving range which is fine you just gotta do your own warm-up deal however you like and it’s cold out beautiful fall day couldn’t ask for a more gorgeous day gorgeous mountains little smoke in the background oh so however you like to warm you can warm up putting that’s all they got this is like the the true essence of golf kind of link style look here flatlands natural grasses all around the bunkers there’s no bunkers it’s all it’s just sandy area got some pines uh whatever other kind of trees there are fairly flat property with some water ponds gorgeous gorgeous day okay keep warming up got like 14 sweaters on hole two here which is our first hole is 352 yard par four we’re starting off blue tees blue tees blue tees white flags white flag will be the harder flag then next we’ll go to the back tees for our second nine black teas blue flag oh and a great christmas gift if you’re wondering what i’m wearing all my clothes today are by seven diamonds link in birdie [Music] [Music] eagle look at this guy birdie eagle start not bad i love these greens bermuda greens they look like they’re in phenomenal shape i typically put well on bermuda greens for some strange reason even though i didn’t grow up on them a natural gifting i’ll take it uh this is where the course gets you judy just chipped from there and he’s here and he almost went in the hole in his [Music] oh it’s perfect sorry you just drove the green i didn’t think i could get there it’s 3 13. so we talked about it and this is now official golf etiquette if the hole is 300 yards or farther and the group ahead of you is on the green you’re allowed to hit off the tee box okay that’s the rules anyways i did not think i’d carry that to the front of the green which i didn’t rolled up i have maybe 20 footer for eagle can i make two eagles in less than nine holes it’s possible fortunately we’re not playing blue flag this loop we’re going white so although i’m on i’ve got a tricky exciting putt for [Music] well i think i was right on my approach of angle into the green straight away 104 54 degree wedge you got to flight it down full shot into the wind well well well easy days [Music] hold it [Music] up [Music] all right first loop was blue to white flag now we’re going black which is the tips to the blue flag there’s a two under on the front nine if i was going to build the course there’s things i’ve always wanted one is double greens like st andrew’s style two is uh a reachable par four driveable par four and short cool tough par threes this course has all of them times nine it’s fantastic this is the ideal and to top it off they use the natural terrain which i absolutely love that i feel like i’m in pinehurst scotland bannon dunes tennessee all wrapped in to one it’s a bucket list course and probably the most uh unsung unknown bucket list course out there [Music] [Music] this is gonna be one of the coolest shots on the course first tee box you’re going over ninth green par five here we go a little a 54-yard bunker shot apple wedge and don’t freak out on those shots just take more club open the face a little same bunker principle as everything else just with more club you can go all the way down to an 8-iron if you want see if i can finish it up with a birdie on our last of our 18 holes all right so i went two under on our first loop never seen the course then when i had some practice and warmed up um i shot four over so that’s good different tee boxes different flags so totally different deal but ended with that birdie so 74 for me first trip through now we’re gonna keep playing because that’s how you do it here just keep rocking and rolling but the next time you can see me is in the pro shop want to get something for you guys do some giveaways so
