60 yard hole in one at a 9 hole pitch and putt. I know, “It doesn’t count.” But was still exhilarating to see it drop in.

    If you want it to count, it counts. If your mates buy you a beer, you’ve had the only confirmation you need.

    If they don’t, get new mates /s

    If the scorecard says 1, it’s a 1. Congrats!

    you hit it once off the tee and it went in, it counts

  4. Yea I’m still keeping the ball and a scorecard with a 1 circled twice on it. So it definitely ‘counts’ as much as any other shot any where else pretty much.

    The aim of golf is to get the ball in the hole.

    You did it in one shot so it’s a hole in one.

    Yo, this is a legit hole in one. Nice swing.

    A hole in one at 60 is the same as a hole in one at 180. They are both hole in ones. Congrats!

    Why doesn’t it count, was it your 3rd shot after a penalty ?

    I have a local course to me which is a par 3 18 hole course. The shortest hole on the scorecard is 72 yards, but sometimes plays 65 yards.

    So what’s the difference between a hole in in there on a full 18, vs a hole in one on a pitch and putt 60 yard?

    Nothing, both had a tee shot to make and a hole to go in, both are a hole in one.

    A 1 is a 1.

    It counts. Not even a “Oh it went in the hole it counts”.

    The R&A rules clarify what a hole in one is, when it comes to Amateur status and what prizes can be accepted and still maintain amateur status.

    * A prize for a hole-in-one made:
    * Outside a tee-to-hole golf competition or
    * During a tee-to-hole golf competition, provided the length of the shot is at least 50 yards.

    Your shot was over 50 yards. It’s a hole in one. [https://www.randa.org/amateur-status/main-rules/3-prizes](https://www.randa.org/amateur-status/main-rules/3-prizes)

    It counts to me. Also it especially counts if it’s over 81 yards as that’s I believe the shortest PGA hole

    It counts. You were on a tee box and got it in.
    Congratulations!

    Agreed! Were you playing golf by the rules? If yes! Congrats!

    It counts! Maybe, MAYBE with an asterisk, but if someone asks you can say you got a hole in one.

    why wouldnt it count? what score did you write down?

  16. My argument as to why it counts is that I would find this quite a bit tougher than a traditional par 3 that was dead on my yardage. I don’t really have a consistent shot for 60 yards so this is much harder for me and therefore legit in my view.
