Well, well played out there. 10 of two nines. The uh the first nine that you played, lots of birdies, lots of good golf. Second nine, a little bit more mixed, but still some very good golf in there.
Yeah. No, I uh I was telling my caddyy Shane, I was like, I just had a massive brain fart here on five and I was like, what just happened? Like I was on a roll and then I’m just like fighting for my life here. But um I’m really pleased with the day. I feel that I’ve I’ve worked hard over the last few days. My coach Hollands is here and we worked really hard and I’ve kind of pushed myself in situations maybe I wouldn’t put myself in before like hitting driver off nine kind of putting it low close to the green shots that I normally not comfortable with. I’m just trying to like challenge my game a little bit um both for both for the future and for playing well this week. So um really pleased with the day overall. Hit the driver really nicely. Hits a lot of really nice iron shots. And um I to be honest I didn’t hold many putts because the birdies I made were quite close but um it was nice. It was a good day. The Eagles were close as well. That shot in at four was spectacular. Dog ran into the green afterwards. It was uh it was a really great shot. So all the more surprising that you went on to do that at five.
Yeah. No, I was kind of surprised myself over five unfortunately. But no, I had a lovely shot into um into four and I kind of had this little uphill eye and it was it was kind of shot that I have struggled a little bit with like so I also then proceeded to shank it on five after I’ve had made a bit of a mess but like I I struggled sometimes with a little downhill eyeball below the feet and when the ball gets uphill so very pleased that I pulled off such a lovely shot and I mean being that close is just a bonus but um anytime you kind of pull off the shot that you’re planning and that you’re intending to It’s always a win. According to my sources, you have an Irish caddy on the bag this week. And this is your first time to Ireland. Is that right?
Yeah. I normally try to avoid coming here so I can avoid him. No, I’m kidding. It’s um I I I mean, to be honest, we we travel so much for for work and it’s uh it’s kind of hard to do everything. So, I’m really happy to be here this week. It’s uh I’ve heard a lot of good things about this tournament and I have experienced that myself. So, it’s uh it’s really nice to be here. I’ve always loved the Irish fans there. They know golf and they know when to clap. They know when to not clap. So, it’s it’s lovely lovely to be here.
