Today is my 3rd year anniversary with my girlfriend and I took her out golfing for her first 18. My previous best score is 99 and I shot a 91 with three birdies while previously I’ve only had two birdies in my short golfing career. What an incredible day!

  1. Holy shit, 152! Gotta pick it up and move on at some point to keep the course moving along.

The fact that you meticulously kept score for your girlfriend scoring a 152 is hilarious

I’ve managed it three times. Two 97s and a 96. So, I’m basically pro adjacent. Haha.

    At 152 I’m just playing and don’t wanna know😂

The first time I broke 100 I also broke 90 (89). Haven’t done it since.

A legit 152 is unreal. What was the pace of play like?

When I shoot over 100, or at least know I’m going to after hole 5 or 6, the game becomes more fun because I just wanna have fun and make sure my more serious golfing friends are having a great time. If I’m over 50 after 9, I’m usually swinging by the clubhouse or bar in the clubhouse and buying beers or shots for everybody.

Here is a pro tip for you if you want to keep golfing with your girl. Play Scamble golf while she is learning. I play one game a week with my wife, and she loves playing scramble rules. There isn’t nearly as much pressure on her both to shoot well or to keep up pace of play. You work together, as a team, to beat the course. As she gets better, she’ll be STOKED when you guys are hitting from her ball. We keep score and always try to do as well as we can. It’s a great bonding experience, and we both enjoy the heck out it.

91 is not just breaking 100, bro. You smashed it, congrats.
