right now the golf world is split believers swear by the torque-free putting revolution while skeptics call it a gimmick so what happens when a name like Betardi revered for unmatched feel and craftsmanship drops their solution to this new torque-free revolution this is the SB2 Antidote it’s pure Betinardi milled in the USA with the exceptional build quality you expect from the name for a torque-free design it boasts a more traditional pleasing mallet shape it’s just going to feel a little bit more comfortable to the doubters and the face milling is designed for a true roll and I can tell you it delivers no skidding just pure top spin that holds a line now my oncourse experiments were telling on those crucial 8-footers i drained 66% well above average and my distance control on long putts was solid with a nice pop and feel off the blade the head just feels stable and it wants to stay square now if there’s a negative to the Betardy line here it’s the fact that there’s not nearly the amount of customizability available this putter will come stock at a 70° lie angle there are a couple of different grip options you can choose your shaft length but that’s about it if you’re wanting a little bit more customizability you’re going to have to look elsewhere but if you were to ask me off the rack what is the best most classic feeling and looking torque-free putter it’s absolutely going to be this antidote line from Bettonardi and I think this SB2 is really the standout for

In my opinion the best zt putter for traditionalists is the LAB OZ.1/i
I tried it and didnt really care for it. I guess im a lab loyalist. I'll be sticking with my df3 for… ever.
Zero torque means nothing if your hands are not steady The manufacturers make it sound as though the putter will guide your hand but it is not. Moreover a misread putt coupled with a traditional putter with torque can make 2 wrongs become right.
Zero torque putters are way overpriced.
tried 10 of these everybrand. not for me. but the Betty was by far the worst. it rests dead open. cally options werent great either. evnroll hosels are funky as are axis. lab does it best but not for me.
All I can say is look at the Vice VP02 putter, center shaft. Genius design and absolutely a beautiful work of art. I retired my S.C. Newport in favor of it.👍🤷🏻♂️
Hmmmmm. Maybe. Been trying to find a zero torque with the feel of a milled design. Might have to check it out.
Just ordered a zero torque putter
Bettanardi has got to be the ugliest putter brand, priced like Scotty Cameron but their designs have worse faces than odyssey and TaylorMade and they look fugly.
I tried the Taylor made Spyder ZT the day before it came out at Golf Galaxy and I was sold. I was going to order a lab and tried both side by side and I loved the TM one, the feel and the control were amazing to me. If I miss a putt now it is usually not from opening the face it is due to me pushing the ball or hitting it to firm. Even my pushes have declined a lot and I am either making my putts in one or two putting where I woulda three or four putted with my old PXG warbird. Love the zero torque.
GABE WHEN MY IRONS AND THE REST OF MY NEW SET COME IN IM GOING TO HAVE TO POST MY NEW WHATS IN THE BAG. Keep up the AMAZING CONTENT YOU KNOW IVE BEEN WITH YA FOREVER NOW .
it looks like a cyber truck
Its also like 8700 dollars
Go ahead and buy one of these putters. It will cost thousands of dollars…..when in reality it cost the company 49.50 to produce. So the actual cost to the consumer should be 101.00.
Zero torque is BS. Whatever your hands are doing, the face will follow. Zero torque is going to keep your hand from shutting or opening the face?
I doubt whether this revolutionary putter can fix my lack of sporting prowess and talent 😂
Can someone please tell me how you actually measure torque in a putter? They do it with shafts and come up with a number (2.0, 3.5, etc.), but with putters all I keep seeing is placing it in LAB’s “revealer” and if it doesn’t open or close during the stroke they deem it “torque free”.🤔Just doesn’t make sense to me …
Great Video! Purely random algorithm recommendation that I came upon your channel but this is an outstanding and well-detailed explanation of the torque debate and the modern variation of what the putter engineers have to offer in 2025. I love TEJ (theequipmentjunkie for those who haven’t seen) and am looking forward to seeing more content like this.
The zt spider is better than this
What does torque even mean on a putter? 😅
The SB1 is the one to get….that mallet is just too damn ugly. Not quite LAB ugly but still
I’ll stick to my rose gold Bett Queen Bee, she just too sexy 😂
I don't know enough to say because I haven't really researched why zero torque is better. To me it's not something that screams revolution with the few I've tried but I definitely want to explore it
I have a bettinardi putter so it’s not the brand but that putter is butt ugly
To bad i cant afford to find out myself
I love my Scotty newport 2.5+, the only other putter that has given me the same confidence has been the Spider ZT. Tried the labs didnt love them.
